It begins...

I hope to have some pictures up today but last night I got my EarthBox going with their handy instructions. I purchased 4 cucumber plants from a nearby market.

First some background, I purchased my EarthBox in Omaha, Nebraska while visiting in-laws over the weekend. The EarthBox included the dolomite and fertilizer as well as the other plastic parts that make up the Earthbox. Upon my return to Kansas, I purchased the potting mix and vegetable plants. And then last night put it all together and watered my EarthBox while I was home over my lunch hour.

There hasn't been much sun today but it's already used a decent amount of water. I'm guessing since it's just getting started that would be the case and I must not have moistened the potting mix enough as I filled the EarthBox.
